What is TroubleMakers?

TroubleMakers is an open world, social sandbox game prototype that encourages players to unleash their creativity inside a virtual world, sharing and celebrating their work with the community. It was created for a university assignment, the requirements being to follow Torren University's new branding by promoting and encouraging creativity. Key features include:

  • Share: upload images of your work and spray it around town, or free-paint on the canvases in the museum!
  • Celebrate: let other players know you're a fan by reacting to their spray and show off your achievements by displaying badges and titles you've earned!
  • Explore: 3 unique urban zones to explore!
What Did I Do?

I collaborated with a team to design and iterate on ideas that would fit the brief given, with the end goal being to present the prototype to the brand designers at Torrens University. I was responsible for designing and creating 2D art assets and UI elements/mock-ups that would fit cohesively in the game; our take on the concept being to create a 'living gallery of trouble'.

Some examples of my contributions to this project:

Spraypaint decal made for Troublemakers game prototype. UI mock-up and logo for drawing pad. UI for achievements. Early UI design concepting and iteration.
